Description:
Information
Once the project villages are confirmed, a formal or informal stakeholder group can be formed to assess the existing conditions and recommend options. Normally, key stakeholders involved in a rural wastewater management project include regulatory agencies (e.g., local environment and ecology bureaus, local water resource bureaus), households or villages to be served by the proposed project, agencies of funding source, and service providers for system operation and maintenance. The members of the stakeholder group must clearly understand their roles and responsibilities.
