The issued standards for rural wastewater discharge in various regions have been classified according to the actual local conditions, such as:

 

  • Beijing divides the standards into three levels according to the function of the receiving water body, and at the same time divides the first and second standards into A and B according to the scale of facilities;

 

  • According to the environmental functional sensitivity of the effluent from rural wastewater treatment facilities and the scale of treatment facilities, Tianjin divides the standards into primary, secondary and tertiary standards. At the same time, the tertiary standards are further divided according to the scale;

 

  • Liaoning, Jilin, Henan, Heilongjiang, Gansu, Hunan, Jiangxi, and Hubei divide the pollutant standard values into primary, secondary, and tertiary standards according to the discharge destination and treatment scale of rural domestic wastewater treatment facilities;

 

  • Fujian divides the water pollutant discharge standards of rural wastewater treatment facilities into primary, secondary and tertiary standards according to the environmental sensitivity of the effluent of rural domestic wastewater treatment facilities into surface water. At the same time, the three levels are classified according to the scale of facilities. The standards are divided into two categories: A and B.
