“The Action Plan for the Improvement of Rural Wastewater Treatment in Jiangsu Province” made a comprehensive deployment and arrangement for the rural wastewater treatment during the "14th Five-Year Plan" in 2020. Based on the actual situation, differentiated goals were put forward: By 2025, the coverage rate of rural wastewater treatment in natural villages in southern Jiangsu and other conditional areas will reach 90%, and the coverage rate in administrative villages in central Jiangsu and northern Jiangsu will reach 80%. At the same time, the index of rural wastewater treatment have been incorporated into the province's high-quality development, rural revitalization and other assessments, and has been included in the provincial government's livelihood projects, and will be promoted as a key focus.
